The existing EnQuest website wasn't great. For starters, it looked pretty dreadful and was hard to navigate. People complained that information couldn't be found, and it didn't work well on mobile either. Keeping the site updated wasn't easy, and when help was required EnQuest often felt frustrated with their existing provider.

EnQuest brief was for an all-new, best practice website which would meet the diverse needs of a forward-thinking PLC. It had to deliver all of the statutory information, reflect EnQuest's brand, appeal to multiple stakeholders and be easy to manage and keep up-to-date. They wanted regular updates and reporting about the performance of the website, and an email alert platform for regulatory news, press releases and trading updates. Oh, and a tight delivery deadline of 10 weeks from start to finish. No problem.

Collaborating with the team at EnQuest was essential to the smooth-running of the project. From the planning workshop right through to content population, we worked together to plan the structure, content and outcomes for the website.

Design styling was influenced by EnQuest’s branding and their recent annual reports which allowed us to move swiftly through the planning and design phases of the project.

During the build of the website we moved EnQuest’s share price feed and IR tools from their existing provider to a new service provided by Euroland – which benefits from a wide selection of interactive features and their latest ‘user-friendly’ interfaces.

Email alerts are managed through our comprehensive Engage™ platform. In addition to migrating EnQuest’s existing database to Engage™, new subscribers can sign up via the website where they can choose what types of emails they wish to receive and what content should be included.

The team at EnQuest have full control of the website using TYPO3’s secure, enterprise-class CMS. It's the ideal choice for corporate websites, and provides backend users with the flexibility to create highly polished content.

EnQuest required high levels of security for their hosting, which is provided at a Tier 3 facility specifically built to FSA standards.

The project ticked lots of boxes for EnQuest, they were delighted with the process as much as the end result.

Wisetiger delivered substantial cost-savings over EnQuest’s previous supplier, and on an ongoing basis the cost for website support has dropped too. Savings haven’t been achieved by cutting corners or reducing levels of service, and in fact EnQuest have commented that their satisfaction levels with the new website are very high.

One of the key objectives of the project was to deliver the website within a tight timescale of just 8 weeks. This was achieved as planned, on-brand and with full functionality. Share price feeds and investor relations tools were also updated.

Over the space of the first 12 months, the website reached considerably more people with new visitors up by around +45%. This included an uptake in traffic from search engines. Engagement also shot up, with a +40% increase in subscribers to email alerts.

Ian Wood, Head of Comms and IR at EnQuest was impressed. “Wisetiger’s focus, advice and project management was excellent. From planning to Go Live took just eight weeks and we’re delighted with the end result. It’s totally on-brand, delivers everything we need from an investor relations website and the ongoing customer support is great.”
